Welcome to my Web Site

Crime is at an all time high right now! Internet Predators, Forgery, Check Fraud and Identify theft currently top the list as the fastest growing crimes in America!

Even though these crimes are growing, many people think it either won't happen to them, or its one of those crimes that happen to other people. The truth is you are just as likely to become a victim as anyone else. In fact the higher your income, and the better your credit, the more apt you are to become a victim.

On average banks charge over $32.00 to the check write and $8.00 to the depositor. Assuming a combined revenue stream to banks of $40.00 for each returned check, based on the over 300 million returned checks each year, the banks are raking in $12 billion a year. Based on these numbers the banking system is not very motivated to reduce the number of returned checks that enter the system any time soon. To do so, would be cutting into one of their primary revenue streams.

According to Ernst & Young more than 500 million checks are forged annually, with a total annual loss of more than $10 billion. Between returned checks and forgery alone, over $22 billion are lost annually. Based on the current US Census that comes to over $73 for every man, woman and child in the United States.

However these crimes are petty theft compared to the crimes committed on-line, with the most horrific crime being that of sexual predators. Homes, cars, jewelry and televisions can all be replaced, but our child can not, yet children are logging onto the Internet by the tens of million, chatting and exchanging information with total strangers all over the world, or down the street, with little to no supervision.

The Youth Internet Safety Survey found that one in 33 youths have received an aggressive sexual solicitation in the past year. The eMarketer claims that 75 percent of children are willing to share personal information on-line about themselves and their family in exchange for goods and services.

Crime is here to stay, and your best method to keep from becoming a victim is education. This site is intended to help educate the general public and parents how to protect themselves from becoming a victim.
